For your consideration…

I wrote the message down and then met my friend, Vicki, for breakfast. I had already written today’s message down. Then while I was filling out a birthday card to send to my sister-in-law, the waitress noticed the card and remarked that she took a class on making cards and has a group that gets together to make them. That led to designs, paper, and saving scraps to use in other designs. Sometimes I make a design centered around scraps that I have on my work station. I had to laugh that the message was receiving an affirmation. It really wants to be heard.

“Waste not, want not.” We are reminded today of our blessings and reminded not to squander them. Only a few months ago we were conserving on and hoarding toilet paper. I remember talking to my sister about using food in my pantry and freezer up and how good it felt. She was doing the same.

So we might ask ourselves, are we still conserving? Are we still eliminating wastefulness?

Our message today reminds us to use our blessings and resources wisely.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all”

-Drink lots of water…but don’t waste it.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Conserve our resources. Use them wisely. Be grateful for them.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A relaxing day.

-Catching up with Cathy and Alex.

-A good mystery.

-I started my painting class. Here goes nothing.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
