The best to-do list app right now (2017) - The Verge

For your consideration…

Today’s message is kind of fun. It uses the analogy of taking cuts in line.

Depending on where we are, many of us (certainly me) spend a lot of time making to-do lists. Sometimes it is mentally. Sometimes it is written. Like anything else when we think about something and then commit it to paper, we grow its energy and potential. So to do lists have power. They are good things but again, like anything else, there needs to be a balance.

We have to be careful that our commitment is not so all-encompassing that we lose our flexibility. We should expect that other things may come up and the priorities on our to-do list may need to be changed. That is ok. It is ok for tasks to take cuts in front of other tasks. It is ok if some tasks have to be carried over to the next day or dropped altogether.

We are asked to remember that it is good to be motivated and organized. But we should not be slaves to a to-do list. Consider them a living and breathing outline….a tool to make our life easier…not harder.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Affirm…“I am never alone. I have Guidance 24/7.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Use our to-do lists wisely.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful rain.

-A good book.

-Bookwork done.

-Catching up with Carol.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
