Normandy, France

For your consideration…

I choose this picture of Normandy, France because it is a perfect example for today’s time and message. During World War II, I’m sure that it was hard for our soldiers to see much beyond the task at hand. But they held HOPE in their hearts for a better tomorrow and a better future for the world. We can hold that same HOPE in our hearts.

How we might ask? To be sure it is not always easy but consider this piece by Denis Waitley from his The Winners Edge.

Expect the best;

convert problems into opportunities;

Be dissatisfied with the status quo;

Focus on where you want to go,

instead of where you’re coming from;

And most importantly,

Decide to be happy,

Knowing it’s an attitude,

a habit gained from daily practice,

and not a result or payoff.

Just a thought.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Monitor our attitudes.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-A quick trip out to Shannon’s to drop cards off and pick up stuff from the party.

-Catching up with Alex.

-School stuff is starting to come in. It is still unclear what the school year will look like but I’ll be ready to go no matter what.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
