For your consideration…

This isn’t my picture. I found it on the internet. But it is exactly what I saw this morning. Sitting for a long time until I finally got it was a dragonfly sitting on my hummingbird shepherds hook watching me.

I am not sure if it was yesterday or a few days ago but I remember we had a message about growing and gaining wisdom. My sense is that this message tacks onto that one. Dragonflies have been around for millions of years. They have beautiful bright iridescent colors on their wings. What we may or may not know is that their colors develop with maturity…like us.

We are reminded that dragonflies hold the power of light. The way they can maneuver is like light itself. They inhabit both realms of water and air…representing the emotional and passionate and learning to balance the two with maturity. They show up today to remind us to get outside into the light, gain a fresh or new perspective, see the colors of Mother Earth, and all that she is offering us.

It takes two years for dragonflies to reach adulthood thus they represent a two year period of change. We may not want to hear this but by now most of realize that when all is said and done there will be a new normal. Life will never be as it was. But the dragonfly reminds us that we also hold the power of light, color, and change. We too have great vision should we choose to use it. We are transformers and can use that light for the highest good of self and others.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Use our power of light for change in the highest order.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Lots of crafting done. Once again, I think that I am done with graduation cards.

-Catching up with both of my girls.

-A good book.

-What a joy. I didn’t message it yesterday but the window washers showed up. I had just been telling Alex and James that I needed to get ahold of them. And then like magic, my neighbor called and said they were at her house and should she send them over. “Oh yeah.”

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
