For your consideration…

“Don’t bite off more than you can chew.” is the exact message we got for today. It came in light-hearted so I chose this fun picture. However, today’s message probably is not what you are thinking.

We have all been there. We take on too many tasks and end up putting ourselves under stress. We realize it but probably don’t learn our lesson the first, second, or dozens of times over. HOPEfully we eventually get it.

Our message today is about life lessons, spiritual lessons. We are given this example of school. Perhaps some of us have been in the position of having too much on our plate. We find ourselves compromising. We accept that all we have to do is get a “D” to pass. We accept that with everything else that is going on we’ll take the “D” just to lighten our load and move on.

Our message today that we can do that with our life lessons, spiritual lessons. We can do the bare minimum to move on. However, it never benefits us in the long term. Life and spiritual lessons are lessons that we want to get down pat. We want to know and understand them so well, they become second nature to us. They become part of our foundation that we can build upon. They are the lessons we want to take our time with…as long as necessary…they become part of us. We never move on from them.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Be excited and joyous about life and the lessons put before us.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Lots of errands done including getting some hard to find fabric.

-A Zoom PJ Party with my friends.

-Sitting on the front porch with Bruce watching the fireflies.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
