For your consideration….

I had to use this image because while our message is serious, it was delivered upbeat and fun.

When we hear the lyrics from “Big Yellow Taxi”, “You don’t know what you’ve got til its gone” we tend to think about not appreciating the people and relationships in our lives. We have all been there I am sure. Whether it was because we never thought they would leave or didn’t realize how big the role they played in our life was, etc., we didn’t appreciate them until they were gone.

But today’s message focuses on more than people. Those are a given. We are asked to focus on the more mundane things in our life. What if we didn’t have our home, stuff? What if we didn’t have transportation? What if we never saw the sun, moon, or stars? What if there were no rain? What if we didn’t have phones, computers, TV, etc., ways to communicate with others?

Every single day we are blessed… every one of us. That is where our focus should lie. That is the first thing that we should think about in the morning and the last thing at night. Gratitude is the easiest way to grow our spirit. It is the easiest way to attract more and bigger blessings.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Affirm you are grateful for that.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Notice Mother Earth that blesses us.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-I remembered that I had not yet planted Millie’s grave. Yikes, pickings for flowers was slim but they look great now.

-A good book.

-Catching up with my Sis on her birthday.

-On my way to bed, I remembered that I had not gotten the mail. Really this is a so what. I regularly leave it in the mailbox for 2-3 days. But I was prompted to go out barefoot in my PJ’s and get it. We have no street lights so it is really dark. On my way back in, I looked up and the sky was crystal clear with every star bright and shiny. Ahhh, now I know why I was prompted to go out.

-Reading with Marisa.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,
