For your consideration…

Experts say that it takes 21 days to break a habit and form new ones. Of course, that doesn’t sound like much time until you are in the middle of trying.

The quarantine has forced us to do things differently. We have had to change our lives…habits. Like anything else, there is a balance. Before we move on with our lives we are asked to do an evaluation.

Remember the “T” chart? We have been given assignments to use it before. We are asked to simply draw a big “T” on a paper. On top of the “T” write Habits. On the left side of the “T” label it old and on the right, label it new. Then simply complete the list. Then go back and decide which new habits you want to keep and which ones you want to let go completely.

When we write things down, visualize, and think about them, we create the energy to release them or move them forward. We have had much more than 21 days to form new habits. It would be a shame to waste this time by going back to old habits that no longer serve us. We are asked to do this exercise so that bless ourselves by permanently adopting our great new habits.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can do…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Do the “T” chart habit exercise.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Sprinklers turned on.

-More cards made. My goal is to make at least 4 a day.

-Video call from Alex.

-A fun Zoom call to officially end the school year with our young 5’s.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
