For your consideration…

All of the little kids I teach have heard this phrase many times. Frankly, I never heard it until I taught.

Hey as kids we all threw fits. As adults, they take on a different form but most of us occasionally have them. I know I do albeit a fraction of what I had when I was younger.

Our message today is without judgment. It simply asks to reflect on a fit we have witnessed and reflect on it. As a bystander, what becomes the focus? Generally, it is the fit itself and NOT what started the fit.

So what is the point of throwing a fit? It becomes the focus and our; cause, complaint, wants, needs, opinions, feelings, etc., get overshadowed and lost in the fit. Fits rarely get us what we truly want. They rarely solve the problem. In fact, they tend to cause more. There are better ways to be heard and get what we want.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Drink lots of water.

-Put fits on the resolution of last resort.

What made me smile yesterday…

-I found Jack and Sue and now have their new number.

-Catching up with Alex and Jackie.

-A good book.

-Errands ran including a Sam’s Club run…the first since before the quarantine.

-A respectable amount of work done on my book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
