What Does the Bible Say About Faith, Hope, and Love ...

For your consideration…

Yesterday we were asked to set the intention for Love, Joy and HOPE . To set the intention we have to define what that looks like in our lives. Health for self and family will for sure make the list. It is a given as is safety and love. But even with the obvious we need to drill down to the specifics of what that really looks and feels like. Plus there are other things like freedom, beauty etc. So today we are asked to drill down further to define exactly what Love, Joy and HOPE looks and feels like.

Surprisingly there is a second part. Frankly this surprises me. We are often asked to eliminate the “n’t” words from our vocabulary. So it is surprising today that we are asked to use “what isn’t” in our definition. We are told that sometimes it helps us to see what is real by seeing “what isn’t.” When we know like we know like we know that something does not feel right and know that it is not the truth, then we can more clearly see what is.

What is important is that we define what Love, Joy and HOPE looks and feels like for us. If we have to first eliminate the what it “isn’t, ” then so be it.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Define Love, Joy and HOPE.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A perfect sunny warm day.

-Some herb planting done.

-A good book.

-Catching up with my girls.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
