seen and unseen, illusion and reality | illuminated dandelion

For your consideration…

Today’s message is actually about truth. Our attention is being drawn to the ways and means by which we come to accept what is true.

And detective will tell us that eye witnesses all see different things. Rarely do they all agree. And that is basically how it is in all things. We all see what is true differently.

If we think about things like love, the wind, the sun, icebergs, roots etc. We might say that we know what all of these look like but that is not entirely true. Love is an emotion. Like all emotions we can not see it. We see what we think are signs of it. Those signs vary from person to person. We can not see the wind but again we see signs of it with the trees bending, the leaves blowing, the front porch rocker rocking and the sounds it is stirring up. We can not always see the sun but the absence of darkness assures us it is there. We may see an iceberg or rocks in the water but it does not tell us anything about their real size. We can not see the roots of the trees but we see the trees standing tall so we know they are there.

The point that is being made is that just because we can not see something, does not mean it doesn’t exist. Just because we can not see something does not mean it is not powerful. Just because we can’t see something does not mean it is unnecessary. Just because we can not see something does not mean it is not true.

What is unseen is often the most powerful truth of all. We can not see our authentic self but it is where our truth lies. We can not see love but it is the most powerful force in the Universe.

Our message today reminds us that to find truth, we must use all of our senses. Our truth may not be the same as someone else’s. We can not know how they come to their truth.  But one thing we do know, truth is not a straw vote.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Seek our truth by using all of our senses.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A very very productive day.

-Mac, my granddaughter, came to help me with the book.

-A viber call with Alex.

-A good dinner quickly put together….the best kind. Mac is a good sous chef.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
