For your consideration…

Today’s message uses contrasts both literally and also as an analogy for differences.

If we did not see contrast, then everything would be camouflaged. When we see contrast…a difference…it is an opportunity. Something is being pointed out to us. There is something we need to notice and see.

So it begs the questions. Why am I being shown this? What is it I am supposed to see? What is being revealed to me? What, if anything,  am I supposed to do with this? What is my lesson? Notice all of the questions are about me, myself and I. That is because the opportunity is being revealed to us. The other person is just the antagonist the Universe is using to create the contrast.

All to often, we see or feel a difference of opinion. And often we feel we need to argue about it. We need to be right. When we feel like this, it is our ego talking.  Our authentic self goes deeper, thinks, looks in the mirror and asks the questions.

We are asked to remember, the contrast was a gift to me. It is my lesson. I have a choice. I always have a choice. Do I want my ego to handle it or my authentic self? That is the question.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Learn our life lessons from our contrasts.

What made me smile yesterday…

-On line church made it possible to attend with my Alex who is overseas.

-Old pictures bringing smiles.

-Surprise Easter presents left on our door by the Gordon family.

-My neighbor, Joan, brought over some of her Easter dinner. It sure made mine easy.

-Hearing from Sandy who has been on my mind.

-A chill day and a good book.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
