For your consideration…

I am not sure if we  have ever had a message about clouds. As I asked for today’s message I heard, “Look, Mrs. Adams, the sun came out.” I remembered how when my students noticed the sun coming out yesterday, I thought, “Wow, they must have been having a lot of cloudy days.” And I thought how great it was that they noticed.

We can have a tendency to think about clouds as negative. Certainly, there are lots of poetry using that symbolism. But today’s message is all about the many purposes of clouds.

It is true that they can hide the sun from us, sometimes for longer than necessary. But, like my students, that leads us to notice and appreciate the sun all the more.

Clouds are early warning indicators of weather. They clue us in on what is to come so we can prepare.

Clouds provide shade when we are over baking in the sun.

Clouds offer a playtime activity. How relaxing is it to lay down on Mother Earth and “read” the clouds.

And clouds can deliver messages to us.

Clouds are blessings to us.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Affirm…“I am blessed.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Notice the clouds and what they are doing and saying for you today.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A relaxing morning getting lots done.

-My young 5’s. They were so happy to see me and I them.

-James may be home early. So happy for Alex.

-My friend, Vicki.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
