For your consideration…

Every day this blog starts with “for your consideration.” I feel that I was asked to do this job as a “reporter or messenger.” It is my job to deliver the messages I am given as I understand them. I am sure that I do it much better some days than others. It is not my job to dictate or convince anyone of anything. I am simply here to deliver the messages and trust that who needs to see them will. I  have to trust that they have value and meaning to those who read them. I have to trust that they help the reader sort through their own belief system.

So having said that, I am just going to write about what  happened to me yesterday.

Just returning from a month of vacation, I had a lot to do; unload car, put stuff away, get Bruce to the dentist, get my nails done, get my hair colored and cut etc. While getting my nails done, the gentleman doing my nails said, “Your phone is ringing. Do you need to get it?” I did not hear it but when I reached into my purse, I could feel it vibrating and the screen was lit up with an incoming call from John Burke. That probably does not sound unusual except that my John Burke is my father who passed more than 20 years ago. As I tried to answer the call, the screen went blank. When I searched my call log, it did not show up. I will admit that I was momentarily taken back. But as I relaxed, breathed and thought about it, I felt very blessed.

I should say that I was not taken back to hear from my father. I have heard from him many many times since his passing. When he passed it was with x’s in the sky. Since then it is usually through ladybugs. Before an event, when I am stressed or even for no reason at all, I will find a ladybug…even in winter…on the stairs where I will not miss it, on table linens I am retrieving for an event, on the dash of my car or windshield etc. But this phone call was a first for me.

We often hear in this blog that we are never alone. We have Guidance available to us 24/7. What you believe that to mean is up to you. For me, I absolutely believe that our loved ones, like the rest of our Guidance and like our  God, absolutely can communicate with us. Indeed they try really hard to do that. The key for us is to be open, trusting and to pay attention.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Believe.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Lots of tasks done.

-My message from my dad.

-I loved yesterday’s message to say often throughout the day, “I am blessed.” It is a total game changer for me.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
