For your consideration…

As I searched for an image for today’s message, I came across many beautiful ones but they weren’t perfect for the intent of this message. The above one is.

Our society…not just our teenagers…tend to idolize successful people. It always amazes me that a.) a movie star thinks they know more than other people know and b.) that some people believe it. That is just one example. People tend to believe and follow successful people without due diligence and any research at all. If someone appears successful we have the tendency to think they are all knowing about everything.

Success should be celebrated for what it is. Perhaps it was luck but probably it was a lot of focus, belief in self and hard hard work which reaped rich rewards. Were there many lessons learned along the way? No doubt there were. But does that make the person all wise in everything? No, it does not. Does it mean they have common sense in all things? No, it does not. Does it mean their perspective is more valuable than our own? No, it does not.

We are reminded today to NEVER give up our personal power. We should go inside and listen to our own instincts first and always. We should trust them first and always. We should follow them first and always.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Drink lots of water.

-Trust your own instincts.

What made me smile yesterday….

-A really easy school day.

-Catching up with Cathy and Kelly.

-Moose has a hurt foot. We took him to the vet. It doesn’t look like anything serious. The battle between the vet and him was epic. Moose loves to sleep but there was no way he was going to let the sedative win. He fought it tooth and nail and he won. Good boy. He saved his mom $40 on the injection to reverse it so we could take him home.

-We love settling in and ending the night watching “The Marvelous Mrs. Maevel.”

-Alex got her new car. The new incentives came out she benefited from them. There were lots of surprise and delights like massaging seats. Yeah.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
