For your consideration….

HOPEfully all of us seek truth even if it is inconvenient. We need to know truth. Most would say they agree with that. So why is it so hard to find…to see?

The truth is truth gets buried under personal narratives…ours and others. Once everyone adds their two cents, it is difficult to find the truth. How do we start to unravel the narratives and find truth? We start at the other end…the beginning. We start with what we know as an indisputable fact….Love is real. Love trumps everything.

When we start with love, when we are operating in love, we suspend judgment. Judgment is a personal narrative. Judgment buries truth. We can suspend our own judgment but what about others? We listen carefully. If it feels personal to them, if it doesn’t feel like love, it isn’t real. It is a personal narrative. Ignore it and stay true to love.

Everyday we are bombarded with “injustices.” Focus is put on division which is the opposite of love. The truth is that we are all born with the love and grace of God. It is the humanness of our birth that should unite us. Our humanness makes us one race born. We all share one home, Mother Earth. This is the truth we need to remember. All of the rest…anything that does not feel like love unity…is just personal narrative and not worthy of space in our soul.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Seek truth. It is the light of love.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Another absolutely perfect day.

-So as we asked the class, “What do you want us to tell your parents tonight?” Hands go up with the usual list of things we  have learned until one of our girls says, “Tell them we are GOOD.”

-We practice a short mindfulness everyday for a few minutes. These little ones have caught on the fastest of any group yet and they really like it. They can articulate how they feel after.

-Alex cooked us a new recipe for dinner. It was great AND it was great not to have to cook.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
