For your consideration…

No one saying that taking the high road is easy. But our message today tells us, our life will be better.

It is natural to want to engage in conflict, defend ourselves and point of view, advocate for what we are passionate about etc., there is a right way and wrong way to do it.

Taking the high road means we don’t have to attack. It means we can listen, be respectful and agree to disagree. We can choose to walk away.

How do we do this? How do we disengage without being angry and frustrated? We do it by suspending judgment. We do it by not judging other people. When we suspend judgment, we can see the heart of other people. That doesn’t mean we will agree with them. But is does mean that we respect them and their right to their own opinions and passions.

Taking the high road leaves space for middle ground, compromise and peaceful solutions. Taking the high road leaves open for peace. Taking the high road is good for our highest good and the highest good of all.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm..“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Take the high road.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-This has to be the first young five or kindergarten class I’ve ever had that stayed out of mud puddles per instruction. There are always a couple who “forget” or “accidentally” end up in the mud puddle.

-Video chatting with Alex. Isn’t technology wonderful?

-There was a bit of wind coming in through the bedroom window which felt great as well as setting the wind chimes in motion. Listening to the chimes, crickets and tree frogs put me to sleep in moments.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
