For your consideration….

Wow today’s message woke me up via a couple of songs. I kept trying to go back to sleep but could not because I needed to write them down before I forgot them. That tells me this is an important message.

The songs are very different. It is what they have in common that identified the message today. The first lyrics were from the Four Seasons song, “Dawn.” Dawn, go away I am no good for you. The second lyrics were from the Adele song, “Someone Like You.” Never mind I’ll find someone like you.I wish nothing but the best for you too. Don’t forget me I beg, I’ll remember you said. Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead.

In the first lyrics the young man agonized that he is not good enough for his girl. He believes that sending his love away is what is the very best for her. The second song is the opposite. The woman put went for the love of her life and it ultimately did not work out. He marries and she is sad that he found someone who gave him something she could not.

Our message today tells us that we are all good enough in our spiritual essence. Our essence is who we are should never regret sharing it with others….no matter how it works out for us. We asked to live our essence. It is our gift to the world. When we live its purity, we live in love. it is immaterial how others receive it and respond to it.

We are reminded to live the truth of our spiritual essence and not let reaction of others tarnish, discourage or hurt it.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Live your true spiritual essence.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A surprise visit from Randy and Carol.

-A chill day at home.

-Jody brought Gabriel’s cheese steak hoagies for dinner.

-I needed to bake a couple of batches of cookies. I go a late start. Bruce decided to go down for a nap. About 9:30 he got up looking for some cookies. “They aren’t done yet.” I tell him. He responds, “Wow, you girls are slow bakers.”

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
