For your consideration…

….change one thing….have one do over, I would….

We have many messages about living fully present in the moment. It is the only moment we can impact right now and our choices will impact the moments to come. So I was very surprised that today’s message is asking to use this moment to reflect on the past. We are asked a very specific question and then a task.

“What would be the one moment you would like to change?’

Think about that moment and think about how that change would have impacted your life.

What would of would not have happened in your life if that change had happened? Who would you have met or not met? How were you changed etc.? This exercise is to remind us that there are no coincidences and ultimately what happened was for our highest outcome.

I have a couple of friends that I know, like I know, like I know that the moment they would change would be the moment they lost their loved one that there is no way this was for their highest good. There life was forever altered and they can vividly envision so much more happiness had their loss not have happened.

So I was reluctant to write this message. As I have explained before, I don’t get to pick the message for the blog. I can ask for a different message but I never get it. But I do get clarity if I ask. I asked today.

Our highest good is not always conducive to the highest good of all. The highest good of all always trumps the individual because ultimately what is good the whole is good for us as well. When we lose someone we love….when it is for the highest good of all…that loved one is going to serve their highest purpose. We know deep in our hearts that we would never hold a loved one back from pursuing their HOPEs and dreams in the physical life. So would we really hold them back in their spiritual life…their highest purpose. Of course, not. But it is hard because we can’t see this highest purpose an more. We have to trust our inner knowing. We must trust our faith.

Which brings us right back to living fully in the moment and making it the best it can be trusting in the highest good of all.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…Ask what is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Trust you spirit.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Jody and I spent the morning pampering ourselves at the nail salon.

-Another beautiful day.

-It is great having a friend around for awhile. Lunch downtown out on the sidewalk watching the town go by.

-We went to an antique shop. I loved seeing college kids in antiquing and listening to their comments.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
