For your consideration…

HOPEfully we have had a chance to think about yesterday’s message about “climbing mountains.” Mountains were used as an analogy for the tougher times of our lives. If we look at today’s image, it is of a woman considering the mountains. She sees them from a place of tranquility.

Our message today asks us to consider “What self do we want to put front and center to climb our mountains?”

When I have worked with survivors of domestic violence, one key element was to “have a plan.” Have a plan that you have worked out and thought about so that if and when the situation arises, you are more likely to automatically go to your plan. You aren’t thinking on the spot in a state of panic.

Today we are asked to consider following that example. Don’t wait until we are forced to climb the mountain, plan now on having our very best self ready front and center to tackle whatever comes our way.

Anger, panic, frustration, outrage etc. are all from our ego. Our best self, our spiritual self, the self that works in partnership with our Guidance knows that it can climb any mountain…overcome any obstacle. We may not have the complete plan. We may have to take it a step at a time. We know it may not be easy but we know we can do it.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Live with our best selves front and forward.

What made me smile yesterday…

-One step forward and two steps back. You just have to laugh at how much you think you know and finding out how little you do. Who knew is you put your savings into savings and just left it there the bank could just take it?

-Sunshine and some breezes.

-The vegetable stand is open for the season. I love this time of year.

-Happy Hour at the Real Seafood with Kathleen.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
