For your consideration…

For sure we have had many messages on patience. Today’s message, however, has a specific focus.

We are asked to consider patience as a barometer. If we find ourselves losing patience or have completely lost it, we are out of control. It is as plain and simple as that.

Think about it. None of us like to be out of control. When we are out of control, we may feel anger, hurt, fear, futility etc. None of that is good and none of those are good for us physically, spiritually or mentally.

Today we are asked to notice when we are losing our patience and regain control. How? Take a step back and look with fresh eyes. Walk away. Breathe….focus on your breath and breathe until we are once again calm. Our breath is our reset button, ever-present.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Notice when we feel we are losing patience.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A video call from Alex.

-A beautiful day.

-Breakfast with Mary.

-Some crafting.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
