For your consideration…..

Do you ever feel like this? No matter how hard you try, you just can’t seem to make something happen. You feel like you are pushing a boulder up hill. You feel like you are swimming against the current.

You probably don’t want to hear this but the fact that you feel that way is all good. It is like physical pain. It is an alert that something is wrong.

There is a difference between feeling hard work is rewarded and fulfilling versus no matter how hard we work we are spinning our wheels. In fact, we are often taught that our hard work will pay off. If we want something bad enough and are willing to work  hard enough, we will achieve our goal. This is certainly true when our “body, mind and spirit” are on the same page.

That is the key. We must be fully invested. Our body, mind and spirit must be in complete agreement for those goals we work so hard for to come to fruition.

It is when we are not working in self-harmony that the work becomes an uphill battle. In essence we are fighting ourselves. Part of us does not buy in. Part of us is unsure if we are heading in the right direction.

We are told today to take a pause when we feel like our hard work is not paying off. Be still. Ask what is it about this goal that we are not completely in sync with. Do we have the wrong goal? Is it a good goal but it is not right for us? Is it the right goal but we are working it for the wrong reasons? What is it that our authentic self is balking against?

When we are having a hard and painful struggle, there is a reason. Identify and resolve it and our hard work will pay off. We will no longer be fighting the natural flow of our life.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray….ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Have a safe and fun Halloween and weekend.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-A half day of school with fun, fun, fun students.

-A beautiful fall day.

-No matter what errand I ran, Divine Timing was evident. No matter what I attempted…. there was an opening, I got done early, or a problem was easily solved. It was like there was magic everywhere.

-Including I needed help from Alex. What are the odds that she is on the other side of the world and on the computer exactly when I needed her input? Wahoo. We all need those days where we are reminded of Divine Timing and Purpose.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
