For your consideration…….

I make my own cards for various occasions. I love to do it. I always HOPE that the receiver feels my wishes and blessings for them that went into creating a unique creation for them. To do that I have an enormous amount of supplies to choose from including dozens if not hundreds of stamps. Of all of them, my favorite is a simple little stamp that says “celebrating you.”

That stamp is what was shown to me this morning as I meditated on and asked for today’s message. It came with these questions, “What if everyone celebrated each other and their HOPEs, dreams, quirks, passions, beliefs etc.” “What if we gave everyone the freedom to be who they wanted to be and celebrated them?”

Think about it. What if everyone just accepted and celebrated each other without judgement? Where would the world be without coercion to particular religions or political affiliations? Where would the world be if women were peer equals to men and could live to their full potential?

We often hear people express doubt on if they really know/knew someone. Think of that implication. For some reason that person felt they could not be who they really are. They could not present their authentic self. If we “feel” we can not be who we really are, we must have fear, doubt, feel unworthy, lack of trust etc. I don’t know about you but that makes me sad.

No one says we have to agree with or even like a path another has chosen. Certainly we have an obligation as a true friend,  family member or citizen to express concern when we see bad, unwise or dangerous choices. This is not about not being responsible. It is about honoring and celebrating the person they are and allowing them the space to be their true self…..all of it…..the good the bad and the ugly.

Each person uniquely and perfectly created. We are being asked to celebrate that.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray….ask….”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Be true to yourself. Celebrate you.

What made me smile yesterday……

-A beautiful day.

-Shopping with Jody keeping our eyes open for things to send to Alex on her deployment.

-Husband Bruce, “Go have a good time and no I don’t want to go.”

-Fun, fun, fun with Ginger, Jody, Debbie and Patty. Ahhhh, old friends are just the best.

-Even the text messages confirming we made it home safely were a hoot.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
