For your consideration…

When messages come in it is important to ge the feeling of their delivery. Today’s message came in via a song…we seem to have a lot of that lately. The song is a song sung by Dierks Bentley call What Was I Thinkin’. It is a funny song indicating our message today is upbeat.

The lines we are asked to focus on are these;

I know what I was feelin’
But what was I thinkin’

Hey, it can go both ways. Either we throw thought to the wind and go with what we are feeling. Or we overrule our feeling and follow our head. Over and over again we are reminded that we are supposed to be in sync with our body, mind and spirit. If any one of them, is crying foul or beware, we need to pay attention.

Having said that we are students. We are learning. We have all been there. We have all asked “What was I thinkin’?” In hindsight it seems like such a dumb decision.

Our message today reminds us to lighten up and not be harsh on ourselves. If we are even asking ourselves the question, then more than likely we have learned something.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Lighten up on ourselves.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Crabby Bruce became nice again. Yeah.

-He is starting to get the hang of the walker. I HOPE to get him home by the end of the week. That is my timeline. Let’s see what the rest of the team says.

-Catching up with Jackie, Lori, Gordie and Alex.

-Target is open until 11:00 making life a lot easier right now.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
