For your consideration….

“Life isn’t fair.” “God is unjust.” We hear this. Perhaps we say this or think it. Who says?  We say.

And that is just the point. We apply our judgment, the judgment formed by our filters and the conclusions we come to. We think or say what is unfair. Yikes. Think about that for a minute. We proclaim ourselves judge and jury. We play God.

When we think about it like that, most of us would say, “No, I don’t do that. I don’t feel like that. That is not what I meant.”

This message today is not meant to be harsh. Instead it is a gentle reminder that we never completely know the circumstances in another’s life. We do not know the trials, fears, doubts of those around us. What it looks like on the outside may or may not match what is going on inside.

We have a choice. We always have a choice. Choose to suspend judgment.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…ask…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-Great second graders. So insightful! Great readers. Great writers.

-Both my girls are having great vacations. They deserve it.

-Catching up with Jackie.

-A good nights snooze.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
