For your consideration…..
We often hear “communication is key.” Communication is what today’s message is about.
We are reminded of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. In his theory people are motivated by unmet needs. For example, people in poverty’s immediate need is food, water and shelter. It is hard to think of anything else until this need is met. Public schools understand this and offer free and/or reduced breakfast and lunch to those students in need so that they are better equipped to learn. On the flip side, leaders of terrorist groups understand people’s needs and desperation and use it to their own nefarious purposes.
Failure to communicate is not always about differing opinions. It is often about the place from which we are communicating. Our “ground zero” is where our immediate needs are. It colors and filters everything we think and do. But at our core, at the center of our being, lives our truth, our HOPE, our faith and our love.
We are reminded today to try to communicate on a soul to soul level. We have much fewer differences there.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..
-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Let your soul do the communicating.
What made me smile yesterday…..
-Waking up with a full house.
-Reading and chilling.
-Some crafting done.
-Great pictures of Jordan’s rehearsal dinner.
