For your consideration…..

Today’s message made me chuckle. It was my own words said back to me.

As a substitute teacher, I often have students young enough to still have recess. Since I don’t necessarily know each class, I have to assess how efficient they are in transitions, getting ready to go to lunch or recess, lining up etc. so that we can stay on schedule.

Before I take students out to recess I always tell them, “I want you to have as much recess as possible. To do that, you have a job to do. When I whistle that it is time to come in, you need to stop what you are doing…..not finish it…..stop and run to line up.” That way I am not cutting recess short to allow extra time getting back to class.

Our message today is exactly that message. When we know, when we hear that voice, tell us we need to change course, we need to stop what we are doing and change course.

We all hear or feel our messages. We get that random thought, “This is a waste of my time.” or “There’s a better way.” or “I should do this instead.” We suddenly see other alternatives. We suddenly are presented with new or different opportunities.

When we are shown a new path, it is up to us to be brave, stop what we are doing and follow it. In the long run it will save us time, talent, money, effort, peace of mind etc. because if that is our path we are going to eventually find ourselves on it anyway or one very similar. Most of us can not see our future beyond the next few steps but we don’t have to worry about it. Our Guidance  has the map. We simply need to follow their lead.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Follow those nudges you are given from your Guidance.

What made me smile yesterday….

-The sun makes everything better.

-A great class.

-I often follow the same bus home. Yesterday, I saw two little girls get off the bus. One skips up the driveway. The other one grabbed a trash can that was as tall as her and pulled it up the driveway. What a sweetheart!

-An early bedtime.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
