For your consideration….

Wow, when I got a HOPEful message on futility, I did not expect that it would be so hard to find a picture for our message. I guess I should have expected it. Futility is absence of HOPE. It is giving up because we can see no HOPE.

Our message today is about US feeling futile. It is about US feeling as though there is nothing we can do. Our message tells us nothing can be further from the truth. “Futile” is a word that comes from the ego. HOPE is a word that comes from our authentic self.

Today we are told that there is always something we can do. Every single second we have a choice to be a force for good or evil. Like we were told yesterday, each of us has a spot…a part. It is guaranteed.

Sometimes we may feel like things are “futile.” We may feel “futile.” But that is never the truth. There is always something we can do. We can….lend a hand, lend an ear, give our full attention, do something, offer HOPE, offer compassion, laugh, give support, give love, protect, stand our ground, give up ground, understand, trust, be realistic, give joy, accept joy, hold someone, give advice, hold our tongue etc.

You get the message. Nothing is ever futile. There is always something we can do. In fact, every second of every day we make a choice. It is either positive or negative. It is our choice.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Choose to do good.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-Wonderful children…that’s what I see.

-Dinner with my friend, Julie. It is always good and comfortable.

-It seems like a long time since I have been to my women’s circle. It felt soooo good to be back with these wonderful women.

-Cool sleeping nights are the best.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
