For your consideration….

Our message today deals with how we are feeling. In particular, we are asked to pay attention to those intense feelings.

We don’t always like to do that. Sure if we are feeling very excited, happy or joyous, we like to hang on to those feelings. However, if we are feeling emotions that are painful, angry or hurtful, we would just like them to go away. Isn’t there a saying referring to burying our head in the sand?

We are told today that those extreme emotions…good or bad….are like exclamation points or question marks. We have them for a reason. We are meant to deeply feel them because there is always a lesson with them. So good or bad, we are called to pause, live with it and recognize what that lesson is. Don’t bury your head (heart) in the sand. Choose to know the lesson. Choose how you want to handle it. Choose the path you move forward on. Choose to recognize that you have received a gift…..a clear indicator for the path you are to take.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Notice those exclamation points and question marks.

What made me smile yesterday…..

-Ahhh 5th graders.

-Hearing from my girls; Alex, Shannon and Yvette.

-Bruce counting down the days until the new dishwasher comes. I really is not bad without it. I like doing dishes and secretly I think he likes having a task as well.

-Another day perfect for recess.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
