For your consideration……

If it flies in the face of common sense, it most likely is not right.

There is no degree program from common sense. We know this. We have all met brilliant people who are short on common sense and others with little to no education who are brilliant with it.

Common sense can not be taught. It is an internal knowing. People who do not have it can get better at recognizing it and trusting it in others if they choose to listen. However, all to often they choose not to listen.

Common sense is a sacred gift. Like with every gift, it is meant to be received with gratitude, cherished and shared. Today’s message reminds us of this because all to often, increasingly so, we are letting our common sense be over-shadowed. We are deferring and letting it be overruled. We are not defending it.

Why do we do this? We buy into the philosophy that education trumps common sense. Issues fly in the face of common sense and we rationalize the ignorance as being our’s rather than someone else’s. We think to ourselves, “This makes no sense or this is so stupid, I must not know all of the facts.” The reality is that most often, knowing all of the facts does not make it any less stupid. It still will not pass the test of common sense.

We are reminded today that our common sense is a necessary gift we have to share with the Universe. It is a stabilizer. Use it wisely and often and do not let anyone minimize it. The Universe is in desperate need of it.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take….

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water..

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Let your common sense lead the way.

What made me smile yesterday….

-A fun school day at two different schools. I like those days.

-The valiant sun trying so hard to shine through.

-A fun couple of emails from Alex.

-A chill night.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
