Wings of a Dove

written by Bob Ferguson and performed by many

On the wings of a snow white dove,
He sends His pure sweet love.
A sign from above,
on the wings of a dove.

When troubles surround us, when evils come.
The body grows weak, the spirit grows numb.
When these things beset us,He doesn’t forget us,
He sends down His love,
on the wings of a dove.

On the wings of a snow white dove,
He sends His pure sweet love.
A sign from above,
on the wings of a dove.

When Noah had drifted on the flood many days,
He searched for land in various ways.
Troubles, he had some, but he wasn’t forgotten,
He sent him His love,
on the wings of a dove.

On the wings of a snow white dove,
He sends His pure sweet love.
A sign from above,
on the wings of a dove.

When Jesus went down to, the river that day,
He was baptised in the usual way,
and when it was done, God blessed His Son,
He sent Him His love,
on the wings of a dove.

The Spirit comes
when these things beset us.
He doesn’t forget us,
He sends down His love
on the wings of a dove.

On the wings of a snow white dove,
He sends His pure sweet love.
A sign from above,
on the wings of a dove.
On the wings of a dove.
On the wings of a dove.
On the wings of a dove.

On the wings of a snow white dove,
He sends His pure sweet love.
A sign from above,
on the wings of a dove.
For your consideration……
While I didn’t know the words except for the title and tune, I recognized this song immediately. What a great why to being called to rise and into action.
We are in a season of great joy. We are reminded today that the joy of Christmas is sustainable because we always have access to our Guidance and help. We only need to ask and listen with our open and loving Christmas heart.
That is the HOPE. And so it is.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…….
-Meditate/pray….there is no better way to learn to put your authentic self in charge and follow your Guidance.
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.
-Follow your heart.
What made me smile yesterday…….
-A message from Ian.
-I overcame immense fear and found my courage to deliver it.
-SKYPE. How wonderful that we can SEE and talk to our Alex on Christmas. Even though she is thousands of miles away we still opened our gifts together.
-Family fun at Shannon and Will’s. Plan B’s and flexibility are always good. Jennifer became Santa and delivered Plan B with effortless ease and dinner was served right on time.
A toasty throw. I will never be cold relaxing and reading again.
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Rev. Chris
