For your consideration……

While we may not have the entire scope of the Universe in our vision, we have to accept the importance of truth in it. We have to accept it because we keep getting messages regarding it. It has been stressed upon us that we must live our authentic self….our true self. But today is focused on the truth from others.

Remember the line from “A Few Good Men”, “You can’t handle the truth.”?

That is what today’s message is about. We are told that kind of attitude is a “cop-out”. It is an excuse. We can handle the truth. We are built for the truth. Anything less than the whole truth racks our foundation because it puts it on shifting sand.

As important as it is for us to live in our own truth, our whole truth and nothing but the truth, so it is that we demand it from others.

For the most part people tend to rise to the occasion. They tend to rise to the height of the bar presented to them. Not all people but most will. Some tend to test the waters for a while first. Remember, we and others often live with judgement. To live in truth we must drop the judgement.

So we must be consistent. We must let go of judgement and be an example of living in truth. We must create the space for others to live theirs. Once done, we must accept nothing but the truth….the whole truth…..from everyone; our spouse, partner, children, parents, friends, extended family, co-workers, boss, team mates, city officials, state officials, Congressmen, the President, physicians, therapists, neighbors, Priests, Ministers, Pastors and Reverends. Nothing but the truth is acceptable if we truly want the world to change. Demand it. Wait for it. Expect it.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..

-Meditate/pray…..anchor yourself to your truth.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Practice, practice, practice living in only truth.

What made me smile yesterday…….

-Ahhh waking up at Stillwater with my dear friend, sister-in-law, Cathy.

-Sunshine….I will not jinx it counting how many days in a row we have seen it.

-Exploring.

-Lunch in the park.

-The end to a fabulous vacation, road trip, ticks on our bucket list.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
