For your consideration……

We are reminded today that the difference between “digging in” and “digging up” dirt is enormous. They are  polar opposites.

Most of us since we were children have loved playing in and digging in the dirt. There are reasons for that. Digging in Mother Earth connects her to us and us to her. It is real. We feel her. We know her at our deepest level and are reassured and HOPEful.

Digging up dirt is the very opposite. Digging up dirt shows lack of connection and lack of harmony. Remember the phrase, “Be careful what you wish for”? There are no truer words when digging up dirt. Digging up dirt is inviting the dark and nasty into our lives. Remember, we are manifestors so we must be careful what we wish for.

Having said that we are also truth seekers. We should always seek the truth and be unafraid at searching for it or demanding it. The difference between seeking the truth and digging up dirt is motive. What is the intention?

We are reminded once again to let our authentic self….our real self…..our truthful self…. lead our way.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate/pray….put your authentic self in charge today. Ask your ego to walk behind.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Dig in the dirt. I love the digging part….the planting part. Unfortunately, I don’t like the maintenance. HOPEfully, most of you love all of gardening and/or farming.

What made me smile yesterday……

-It was another speech day for our 6th graders. They did such a great job. It is terrifying for many of them. I was so proud of the student who overcame his terror and gave his speech. And I was so proud of his classmates who were so supportive.

-It was our Alex’s birthday. She sounded joyous enough. We just wish we could have taken her to dinner and baked her a cake.

-A warm day and a cool night. Just perfect.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
