For your consideration……

It is political season so our skepticism and cynicism is fully engaged. It is hard to get away from the disappointment and annoyance the process has become. We can feel exasperated and helpless.

Today’s message reminds us that we are not victims. We are not the political or any other process that disappoints us. No, we are not that unless we choose to be. We do not have to give away our power. We can choose to stand firm in who we are.

Today’s message asks us to do just that. We are being asked to do what we know is right. We are being asked to let our conscience be our guide each and every time. We are being asked to be our best self. We are being asked to be a light that lights the way for others. That is what matters. That is what counts.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate. It is the best way to get in touch with your best self.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors…….if you can…….and take in at least 10 deep breaths. I don’t know about where you are but here in lower Michigan if you are outdoors the wind is so strong you can’t help but take in deep breaths.

-Journal your best qualities and traits.

-Love deeply.

What made me smile yesterday…….

-Great students.

-Many flights are canceled but my neighbors is not. I am happy for her because our weather here has really taken a turn for the worse.

-A good batch of chili and home-made bread.
