“When you can’t change the direction of the wind,

adjust your sails”

H. Jackson Brown Jr.

For your consideration……

Fall has arrived whether we want it to or not…whether we are excited or not….the season has changed.

So too with us until we leave this world. Life moves on with us in it whether we want it to or not, whether we are excited or not.

Today’s message is about our “attitude” towards change. We were actually given the song “Sailing” by Christopher Cross which seemed odd at first for the beginning of fall. But as I read it I see that, of course, it is perfect. The “sailing” is our attitude. Our attitude can take us anywhere we need to go…..or not. It is a choice. We always have a choice. Let your attitude be one of HOPE, love and joy.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Sailing

by Christopher Cross

Well it’s not far down to paradise, at least’s not for me If the wind is right you can sail away and find tranquility Oh the canvas can do miracles, just you wait and see, believe me
It’s not far to never, never land, reason to pretend And if the wind is right you can find the joy of innocence again Oh the canvas can do miracles, just you wait and see, believe me
Sailing, takes me away To where I’ve always heard it Just a dream and the wind to carry me Soon I will be free
Fantasy, it gets the best of me when I’m sailing All caught up in the reverie Every word is a symphony, won’t you believe me?
Sailing, takes me away To where I’ve always heard it Just a dream and the wind to carry me Soon I will be free
It’s not far back to sanity at least it’s not for me And when the wind is right you can sail away and find serenity Oh the canvas can do miracles, just you wait and see, believe me
Sailing, takes me away To where I’ve always heard it Just a dream and the wind to carry me Soon I will be free

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take……

-Meditate. Tap into your sense of peace and HOPE.

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. Notice the difference in the fall air.

-Plan to relax and have a fun start to the weekend.

-Love you. Love who you are….perfect for your life purpose.

What made me smile yesterday……

-A great trip to see where Alex works and trains.

-Listening to Bruce giggle in the flight simulator as Alex trained him through his flight.

-Looking at houses with Alex and Cathy.

-Dinner and fun in with Pat, Bruce, Cathy and Alex. It was fun just hanging in the kitchen.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
