Nuture Your Spirit
For your consideration……
First of all just a little housekeeping information. Yesterday the blog was late because I worked and worked and could not get the image to load. I finally posted without it. There was still a problem today but I have found an alternate way to circumvent the temporary problem my host server is having. So, today the image was added to yesterday’s message and as you can see we have one for today. Perfect.
Now onto today’s message. We are being reminded about something that we really already know. But maybe we are being reminded because either we have forgotten or we are ignoring it. Our spirit needs nurturing the same as our body and mind does. And just as there are good, bad and OK food for the body and knowledge for our mind, there is good, bad and OK influences for our spirit.
We have been asked to open up….blossom….so we have to be aware and notice what is good for our spirit and what is not. What feels right and what does not? We have to make good choices. Otherwise it will be the proverbial two steps forward and one step back.
We are all awakening at our own pace. You are where you are. Surround yourself with people, places and things that support you. Yes, and let go of those that do not. Sometimes we are conscious of this and sometimes we are not. But if you notice you just are not comfortable with someone…..if you have to mentally sift out what you can and can not say to someone…..that is probably a good clue that this is not a relationship that is good for you. So minimize the contact. Likewise if you feel fabulous around someone and feel yourself being nourished….blossoming, cultivate that relationship.
Pay attention to the places you go. You can feel the energy. Frequent those that you feel the best in. Minimize those that drain your energy. You get the picture. We are being asked to just notice our energy. Do more of what supports it and less of what doesn’t.
Our feelings are our spirit barometers. What is weighing you down? Identify it. Be specific and ask for healing. You can do this in prayer, by EFT (Tapping), meditation, exercise, writing etc. “Cut the ties that bind you.”
And feed your spirit. That is the HOPE.
Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…..
-Meditate….pray…..this is the best way to identify and sort out what is going on in our life. And the best way to release what no longer serves us.
-Drink lots of water.
-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths. (We have had a visit from a skunk. I am going to have to make alternate arrangement.)
-Not quite sure what is really working and what isn’t? Make a “T” chart. Start to notice (don’t dwell, judge or rationalize, just notice) what makes you feel good and what you dread or what makes you feel bad. You don’t have to make radical changes all at once. Noticing is the first step. Make a radical change if you want otherwise just start to make minor course corrections until you can either eliminate it or at least get it to an OK place where it is not dragging you down.
-Remember you are in control. You have a choice. You always have a choice.
What made me smile yesterday……
-Frankly, the old me would have been nuts when I could not get the blog to post. I am amazed that I just took it in stride.
-We still have sunshine. Wahoo. We have had so many sunny days this winter.
-My euchre ranking is coming back up. Seriously, I am not a bad player.
-A great dinner…..a new recipe was a good change.
-Happy Birthday, Carol.
Love, Blessings and Gratitude,
Chris
