For your consideration…

I am not sure if we have ever had a blog written just about friendship. Certainly, it has been referenced but maybe not as the key part of our message. I love that it is today.

My sister and I have often talked about how blessed our mother was. She had lifelong friends. She died when she was a young 68 years old and living in Florida. She had friends everywhere she went but most importantly she had the friends from child and young adulthood from Lexington, MI. These friends spanned her entire life. I too am blessed with friends that have been in my life for 50-60 years.

Consider this William James quote…”Wherever you are it is your own friends who make your world.”

True friends are your friends wherever you are. When you pick up the phone or see them, it is like no time has passed. The friendship endures distance and time. It is a constant nourishment to our soul.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 19 deep breaths.

-Cherish our friends.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day…warm and sunny.

-I got Mary to her chemo and then we did breakfast.

-Catching up with Julie and Alex.

-A great sleep night. The first of the year with the doors and windows open. Love it.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
