For your consideration…

Today’s message came in via some lyrics in the Tim McGraw song. “Humble and Kind.” Frankly, I could write a blog on just about every line of this song but for what ever reason we were given the following to consider…

“Don’t expect a free ride from no one
Don’t hold a grudge or a chip and here’s why
Bitterness keeps you from flying
Always stay humble and kind”

While our bitterness may be aimed/about someone else, rarely does it affect them. Bitterness eats away at our soul not theirs. Bitterness affects our energy and not theirs. Bitterness focuses our attention on negativity and consumes our mind, not theirs. Bitterness affects our relationships, not theirs. Bitterness keeps us from flying/soaring, not them.

Consider letting go of bitterness. It does not serve us well.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Let go of bitterness.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A absolutely beautiful day.

-I went to see my friend, Beth, who is in rehab with a shattered femur.

-Picking up Conner from school and spending time with him until Alex got home. I am smiling today but I have to say he was a bit tough yesterday. Still I love spending time with him and having dinner with him and Alex who is always grateful when I have dinner ready for her.

-Catching up with Jody, Mary, and Lisa.

-A new book.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
