For your consideration…

Today the idiom “Don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater” is used together “What’s tried and true.”

Marketing is big business. Influencers are all over social media. Ask any new grandparent dealing with new parents what their experience is. Besides all of the new products that they can’t live without, they have lots of people they follow with parenting solutions. This includes everything from sleeping habits, eating shoulds and shouldn’ts, potty training, etc. They do not give one thought to how they were effectively raised. Fortunately, this is short lived and their common sense returns.

But it is the same with everything from politics, educations, products, health care, remedies, food, etc. Sometimes we don’t even consider that what is tried and true is just the best. Sometimes in the search for better and/or improved, we “through out the baby with the bathwater.”

Our message today reminds us that there is no replacement for common sense.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Hold on to your common sense.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-But it was cold. I spent lots of time outdoors with recesses at school.

-Catching up with Alex and Mary.

-A smooth trip to the airport picking up Will and Shannon. There was hardly any traffic.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
