For your consideration…

Sometimes love hurts. Perhaps a relationship fails. Or sometimes someone we love dies.

Love by definition is deep. So we mourn its lost. There is no easy fix. The only way is through it and give it time. It may never not hurt but the hurt won’t be as acute.

Our message is about a breaking love. Most often is is a gradual thing rather than sudden. We know when a relationship is crumbling and there is no coming back from it. We know when someone is terminally ill. This “in between” time is stressful and every bit as painful as the loss of the love altogether. So when the time comes and the separation happens, we can also feel a bit free as well as hurt. And that is OK. This message reminded  me of one of my favorite songs by Max McNown, “A Lot More Free.” Consider these lyrics…

From this mountain, I can see so farRivers running like deep, deep scarsCarrying the lifeblood through my veinsIs it crazy that I’m grateful for all the pain?
‘Cause I’m a little bit hurt but a lot more freeI ain’t sayin that you never took a toll on meAnd for what it’s worth, I can finally seeThat I’m a little bit hurt but a lot more freeYeah, I’m a little bit hurt but a lot more free

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask..”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Catching up with Alex and Mary.

-Laundry done.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
