For your consideration…

A little bit hurt but a lot more free.” This saying comes from the Max McNown song “A Lot More Free.”

This saying can apply to a lot of situations. Right now it might apply to some about the election. Certainly the freedom from all of all of the political commercials, phone calls, and mail is a lot freeing. But when this message came in, I immediately thought of all of the women in domestic abuse relationships. Recently I was talking to a friend who also lost her husband after a long illness. Despite the terrible pain there was a lot of freedom after they passed…freedom that we did not always remember giving up.

Our message today reminds us that there is always another side to hurt. And frequently the other side, the new beginning, brings us freedom, growth and finally joy.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Look on the bright side…the free side.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-A good Social Study classes.

-Catching up with Mary and Jody.

-Moose is so happy to have Louie staying with us.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
