For your consideration…

We can all agree that grief is tough. Usually we associate grief with loss of a loved one. But there are all kinds of grief; loss of job, divorce, empty nesting, moving, a plan, decision, or action that did not go the way we wanted or expected it to. We can even experience grief when we lose something that has a lot of value to us.

No one ever wants to experience grief but we all have to at some point(s) in our life. The only way to get through it is to live through it.

Our message today asks us to consider grief in a different light. Consider grief as a bridge. Grief is the bridge that gets us to the other side of our past to new beginnings, new opportunities. Grief is the bridge that lets us remember more of the good than the bad. Grief is the bridge that lets us once again laugh and experience on HOPE versus our loss.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by  HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Embrace the bridge grief gives us.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-A good school day.

-Catching up with Alex and Mojdeh.

-Lots of time outdoors.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
