For your consideration…

I am so happy that wolves brought in today’s message. Earlier this month my friend, Beth, and I took Conner to the wonderful Toledo Zoo. I have never seen their grey wolf out and certainly not up close. But this was night time and he was out and prowling and then  much like the photo standing on the rock and looking at the moon. It was magical and special.

Per  Ted Andrews, in Anilmal-Speak, wolves are often misunderstood. They are smart, social. They have a strong sense of family and are loyal. They live and by and honor a defined set of rules and rituals. Yet, they have an intact “wild spirit.”

We have much we can learn from the wolf. They do not fight unnecessarily. They avoid it by making their expression or dominance known and then letting it go. They know their power, are confident in who they are and do not have to fight to prove it. Their body language conveys it all. They use it and also are master readers of the body language of other animals.

Wolves are pack animals that govern with an autocratic as well as democratic system. Through the balance and ritual of both, they establish order and harmony. “Wolf helps us to understand that true freedom requires discipline.”

Family is important to wolves  who often mate for life. Both mother and father as well as the pack helps raise the pups.

Much like the Native Americans, wolves hunt what they need and waste very little.

Wolves great sense of smell and hearing remind us to listen to our own inner thoughts and words and listen to and trust our own intuition.

Wolf shows us today to remind us to “Breathe new life into our life rituals. Find a new path, take a new journey, take control of our life.” We have the power to create and direct our own lives. We are being shown to do it with love, harmony, and discipline. This is the way to our true freedom.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Affirm…”I am in control of my life.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A do nothing day.

-Catching up with Alex.

-Some work done on my book.

-Started a new book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev.Chris
