For your consideration…

Our message today reminds us that quality is always better than quantity. I choose the above image because it is certainly most true with friends and friendships. One good friend that you can trust implicitly is better that 100 friends you can not. Good and true friends are a blessing(s).

But today’s message is not just about friendships. It is about all things. My sense is that as we launch ourselves into the holiday season, we start to add more and more to our plate. We hyperventilate on our tasks. We are being asked to slow down and enjoy the season. Rather than dash through it, saunter through and enjoy it. Rather that lots of gifts, give one or two with meaning. Rather than put out every decoration we have, put out special ones as we have the time.

You get the point. Our focus should not be on how much but how well we accomplish our tasks, our intentions, and how we feel about them.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Always choose quality over quantity.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Catching up with Shannon, Mary, and Jackie.

-Beth and I went to the Michigan Theater for their annual showing of White Christmas with caroling before the movie. So…fun. The audience is invited to sing along during the movie and use props they give you like bells, crackers, bubble, a feather, a horse.

-A new mystery.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
