For your consideration…

Most of us like plans. We like to know what we want to do and accomplish with some steps to get there. And probably most all of us have traditions that we uphold. This is especially true during the holiday season.

Many people use the day after Thanksgiving to kick off their shopping taking advantage of “Black Friday” specials. Some like to start their decorations. Others may choose to do nothing but rest, watch football, and eat leftovers.

Whatever our traditions and habits are, they are perfect for us. We keep doing them because they work for us. Yet, the best laid plans can suffer a hiccup or two. This can be particularly irritating when they disrupt our traditions.

Our message today tells us to go with the flow. A wrench in our plans is not the end of the world. There is a reason for the disruption. Ask what it is? Flow with it.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Welcome the little wrench in the plan.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-A wonderful dinner at Todd and Mary’s with family and friends.

-Catching up with Jody and Lori.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
