For your consideration…

I’ll be honest. I did not initially like today’s message. Yes, I do sometimes push back. I never win but I have the conversation. AND … I get some clarification.

Today’s message is about cleaning things up…like spring cleaning. To which I responded, “Seriously, can be just have these last couple of weeks of summer before we have to think about transitioning?” But the clarification I got made me feel better.

Actually, we all feel better as we clean up a little. And little is the operative word here. We are not being asked to take on big projects. Instead, we are asked to chunk things out. We don’t have to clean the whole pantry or closet…just a shelf. Or use something up out of the pantry or freezer. We don’t have to clean all of the windows…maybe just the doorwall. We don’t have to week the whole yard just a part of it. We don’t have to organize all of our craft area…just pick a part. Or how about broken relationships? Perhaps we can’t make it the same as it was but we can create a new one that is not angry or hostile.

You get the picture. We feel good when we “clean or use things up.” We are asked to just do a little bit.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Do a little clean up.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Conner and I went to the pool, playground, dinner and more playtime…so relaxing and fun.

-A  new book.

-I have started to sew new cushions for my window seat. They are long over due. Maybe this well count for my “clean up.”

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev.Chris
