For your consideration…

Most people tend to think of being independent versus dependent a good thing. When we think of independent people we think of motivated people, self-starters. We give them a task and can count on it to be done. We might think of them as independent thinkers, visionaries.

As have been pointed out a lot lately, there is a flip side. While there is much to admire about independence, we are asked to think about its flip side…dependence.

The reality of life is that we are all dependent. From conception in our mother’s womb, we are dependent. We are dependent on the bounty of Mother Earth and she on us. There is not a thing we see, pick up, use, etc. that was not created by many hands and many resources.

Dependence is a resource we have for each other. We need each other and need to love, respect, and honor each other because there is not a person alive that we do not need or they us.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go, there an be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Honor the balance of dependence and independence.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful ride through Colorado to the airport.

-Rough weather made for a tough travel day but Dianne and I each made it home.

-A good book.

-Bags unpacked and laundry well on its way to completion.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
