What To Do About Your Restlessness - LetterPile

For your consideration…

I titled this blog “Seven Year Ache” because our message came in via that Rosanne Cash song. There are lots of thoughts about what this song means but for me it is about a relationship going through a rough patch.

However, our message is always delivered without judgment. It is always meant for our highest good. So we are looking past the suggestion of heartache in the lyrics and focusing on the desire for change. We are looking at the restlessness.

We all seek the comfort of what we know. We like the peace of knowing what to expect and what we can count on. Even though deep down we know that change is constant. And we know that sometimes we start feeling the need for new. We start feeling a need for a change up. It is one of the reasons we love the changes of the season. Our patterns, our clothes, our activities, etc. change.

Our message today tells us that the “restlessness” we feel is not a bad thing. It is our Guidance nudging our Spirit into change to help us grow. These changes do not always have to be big things. They can be but they can also be minute. We are just asked to be willing to follow those nudges.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Remember…You are the keeper of the light. Wherever you go there can be no darkness.

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Change and grow.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Taught school.

-Caught up with Alex.

-Hummingbirds are back.

-Got a lot accomplished on a baby quilt…one of two I need to get done.

-Some shower preps.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
