8 Examples of Procrastination and Solutions - HSI

For your consideration…

How hard this task is depends on the type of personality we have. Today we are asked to think about the difference between procrastination and resting…taking a break.

We need rest. We need it for our physical, mental, and spiritual self. Rest allows us to clear and rejuvenate. Procrastination is when we become too comfortable in that resting place.

How do we know the difference? We go within and look at the truth. Are we fearful? How confident do we feel? Are we resting because we don’t want to do something that must be done? Why are we putting off what we know we must do? Ultimately, procrastination does not get us the rest we think we are seeking because in the back of our minds we know we supposed to be getting something done. We begin to feel more weighted down until we are forced into action.

Rest is different. We start to feel more peaceful. We feel less agitated. We begin to accept the obstacles that have forced us into rest. We feel a readiness to let go and go with the flow.

Today we are asked to pause and take account of where we are at. How do we feel about ourselves? Why? What is the truth? There is no wrong answer. It is simply a task to help us help ourselves.

That it the HOPE. And so it is.
