For your consideration…

We all come across people who seem toxic to our Spirit. Sometimes it is people we know and sometimes it is a stranger. Sometimes it is momentary but with some people, it seems to be their norm…at least towards us.

It is easy to engage and give back what they are dishing out. It is much harder to “bite our tongue.” It is even harder to turn the other cheek and “kill them with kindness.”

We are not expected to be doormats. Quite the opposite. But what we are being asked to consider is our reaction. Do we really think that engaging in negativity and meanness helps? Do we really think we will feel better if we do? Probably not.

We are asked to consider intention for the highest good of all. When someone gets in our face, consider, “Is this what I want to look and feel like?” If not, “What do I want to look and feel like?” Change the energy. Perhaps it is by just dismissing and walking away and quickly turning our attention and kindness to someone else. Perhaps, it is just saying to the person, “I’m sorry you are so distraught. Bless you. I HOPE you feel better soon.”

No matter what. Don’t let anyone steal your kindness. Let your kindness grow like a weed…it can grow anywhere and under any conditions, it is prevalent, it spreads like crazy, etc.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Kill ’em with kindness.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-A great class.

-Catching up with Mary and both my girls.

-A good book.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
