For your consideration…

I am just going to admit it. I am sad when Labor Day comes signaling the end of summer. I love spring because summer is coming. I am sad for fall because summer is leaving. Of course this is ridiculous because every season has its beauty and blessings to offer.

Our message today points out that the title of the season is unimportant. The change between the seasons does not just end one and start another in a day. No, it is gradual. We are eased into it.

This is just an example of almost all change. Sure, now and then there is something big and radical that changes our life; birth, death, new job, new home, etc. But we are in a constant state of change and most of it we do not even notice. 99.999% of change is so gradual that we do not even give notice to it.

Change is a good thing. It keeps us moving forward often with minimal effort on our part. And that is how it should be. We should be just flowing with the flow.

That is the HOPE. And so it is.

Bit by bit, piece by piece, HOPE by HOPE action steps anyone can take…

-Affirm…“I am loved.”

-Meditate/pray…ask…”What is my next step for my highest good and the highest good of all?”

-Drink lots of water.

-Get outdoors and take in at least 10 deep breaths.

-Go with the flow and enjoy the moments as they come.

What made me smile yesterday…

-A beautiful day.

-Jody is here.

-Shopping done.

-Alex and Conner joined us for dinner.

-Conner is like all the boys…he likes Jody.

Love, Blessings, and Gratitude,

Rev. Chris
